The view from the top of Chimney Bluffs is magnificent and otherwordly. The trail is sometimes muddy in the forest. It's crossed with tree roots that can trip you and tree trunks that you have to climb over. At times the trail becomes very narrow and courses the edge of the cliffs which is dangerous because the ground can be unstable. The trail becomes very steep near the top. Located on the Southern Shore of Lake Ontario near Sodus Bay, Chimney Bluffs are geologic formations composed of glacial till which was deposited during the ice age as glacial ice melted. They are ever changing due to erosion caused by the wind and water.

My camera enables me to artistically express my love for nature and art. Although I find great joy just being behind the lens, my heart sings when I'm able to capture the beauty and magic of nature. I find inspiration in many places but I'm mostly inspired by paintings. I enjoy challenging myself to make pictures that look like paintings. Some of the techniques I use are long exposure, intentional camera movement and shooting through objects in the foreground. I'm visually attracted to warm light, curvy lines and water.
