The yellow shrimp flower is a challenging flower to photograph. It is an unusual perennial and was named the shrimp flower because it's layers resemble the scales of a shrimp. The small white flowers that emerge from the layers attract hummingbirds and butterflies. This shrub is frequently seen in Florida gardens because it loves hot weather. My camera enables me to artistically express my love for nature and art. Although I find great joy just being behind the lens, my heart sings when I'm able to capture the beauty and magic of nature. I find inspiration in many places but I'm mostly inspired by paintings. I enjoy challenging myself to make pictures that look like paintings.
